Flu Shots and Pregnant Women

Flu shots have never been clinically tested on pregnant women.

One manufacturer’s own product insert that comes with the flu shot clearly states:

“Animal reproduction studies have not been conducted with Fluzone. It is also not known whether Fluzone can cause fetal harm when administered to a pregnant woman or can affect reproduction capacity. Fluzone should be given to a pregnant woman only if clearly needed.”

The CDC currently recommends that all pregnant women receive the flu shot. There have been three animal studies that have looked at the effect of thimerosal on developing animal fetuses.

“All three studies show that if you increase the dose of thimerosal you increase the abortion rate, it kills fetuses.”
